Homeschool Electives Corner
Cultivate Interests, Strengths, and Special Talents with Electives
In addition to the core subjects such as math, English, science, and social studies a balanced academic program should include courses which will benefit your student in their future endeavors. These courses should be a mix of academic and practical courses as well as courses in your student's area of interest. These courses are generally courses like communication, life skills, consumer and business skills, art, music, Bible and theology, foreign languages, health, and literature.
Electives are considered to be an integral part of an academic plan. For students in grades 9-12, electives become part of your students high school transcript. |
