This book contains a number of ideas that I had to learn the hard way. In college I developed a number of defensive techniques to simplify my work so that I could get it all done. Working four jobs and carrying 15-18 units per semester did not leave much time for studying. I had to have methods that saved time but still got the job done. Some of those ideas are in this book, modified over 25 years of teaching experience.
